VR

My passion is working on vr projects. I truly believe this is where the future is heading, and things are only going to get better from here. I have recently started developing for the Quest headset, and am exploring the different ways it can be used in real estate and construction services.


This is a virtual tour of Bruno House, a property in Granby Ranch. Rethink Enterprise is innovating new ways to utilize VR in their construction and design processess, and this project is just the start. Not only will clients be able to be able to walk around the property and house in VR before buying the home, this project can also be used to produce high fidelity renderings of the property in an extremly short period of time. This video is a demo of the VR project I am working on for the Quest. The idea is that I can create a model that can be viewed in VR, so that clients can get a feel for a property before buying or renting. This could also be used to preview buildings before construction, or even inform design decisions. This model was created with accuracy in mind, and is a 1 to 1 representation of the physical building. Soon to come are interactive doors, cabinets and utilities.

This reel highlights work done over the past few years of my career outside of the VR game dev work. There is a mixture of personal work with paid contracts, as well as some of my time at Pure Imagination Studios.



Effects

I’ve had the pleasure to create effects in a number of our productions. Here are some of the highlights of my effects, all made with Unreal.



Environment

I frequently work in layout and creating environments in Unreal. This work ranges from creating assets from scratch for interactive media, to lighting sets that need to integrate with practical sets for 4D dark rides.



Animation

Animation will always hold a special place in my heart. Animation is what got me involved in the 3D process, and is still one of my favorite parts of production to work on. Most of the below rigs were borrowed, but both the Panzer Kampher character on the top left and the tank bug character on the top right were made from scratch, including rig and model.



Modeling

I love getting to create assets. It’s like a puzzle to find the form to match the reference or design. There is an extra dash of satisfaction creating something you know will perform well in engine, but still have that photo-real quality.

Digital Painting

This is where it all started. I have always drawn, and getting a drawing tablet was a game changer. When I first got my start, I didn’t know if I wanted to be an illustrator or an animator, or a game dev. But I will always find painting to be therapeutic, even if it’s not what my career revolves around.
